- On computer, at a test centre
- On computer, at home
Register
You need a valid identification document to make a registration. When you register, make sure you
have a valid national ID or passport at hand. Please note you will have to present the same
identification that you use for registration on test day. A different, invalid or expired passport will not
be accepted, and you will not be allowed to sit the test. If you’re under 18, your parents will also
need to complete the Parent consent for candidates under 18 form.
What is TOEFL?
TOEFL stands for ‘Test of English as a Foreign Language’. If you intend to enrol in a university or
graduate program overseas, the institution may require that you have a strong academic command
of the English language. The TOEFL exam is a perfect solution in this situation. The TOEFL iBT® test
measures your ability to use and understand English at a university level. It also assesses how well
you combine your listening and reading comprehension and speaking and writing skills to complete
academic tasks. Note that not every college or university requires incoming international students to
take a TOEFL exam.
Difference between TOEFL and TOEIC
TOEFL is not the only test of English as a foreign language. You will probably end up taking the TOEFL
if you are a student as it is more focussed on the academic English. You might need to take the Test
of English for International Communication (TOEIC) rather than the TOEFL if you need to
demonstrate your English proficiency for a job or work visa. Since the TOEIC evaluates every day and
business language rather than academic language, it is more suitable for use in professional settings.
Most Recognized by Students

English tests combined.
– More TOEFL scores are sent to German and French universities than any other English test.
The universities favourite
– The TOEFL test is the preferred English test for universities in the United States, France, and
Germany, and graduate programs in Canada.
who makes dreams come true
– 90% of TOEFL test takers surveyed graduated to their first or second choice university.
The best for succeeding in the classroom
– Only the TOEFL test prepares you for the academic requirements of a university when it
comes to English. The test questions combine reading, listening, speaking and writing skills just like in
a classroom. Studying for the TOEFL test helps ensure that you come to college better prepared than
those who didn’t take the TOEFL test.
100% fair and unbiased scoring
There is no unfair TOEFL test center because the tests are not graded by them. Tests are graded
through a centralized scoring network only. The crucial Speaking section uses many human
proofreaders who do not know the identities of the candidates. This prevents bias that can occur in other tests that use a face-to-face interview with a single scorer.
